SaxoVoce

The project SAXOVOCE was founded in 2019, when the composer Albena Petrovic Vrachanska brought together the saxophonist (saxophone baritone) Joan M.F. and soprano Cynthia Knoch while recording the works of Albena for the CD Dreamlover, which was nominated for opus klassik in 2020. The premiere of the album Dreamlover took place at the Pilharmony Luxembourg.

In 2021, the trio launched a call for works among composers specialised in contemporary classical music from different countries, with the aim of performing each work on an international concert tour to present the tailor-made compositions in Europe.

SAXOVOCE love to play and experiment with sound and dynamics in order to dive as deep as possible into the universe of infinite possibilities of interpreting and performing music. From fully acoustic to electronic and theatrical expressive, then intimate and quiet.

However, SAXOVOCE is on a musical adventure, accepting new challenges to grow and evolve.
