Esancy

ESANCY is the name of Cynthia Knoch and Sacha Heck's music project. The name ESANCY is based on the initials Sacha and Cynthia, as well as the word essence. It is an invitation to sing about essential themes that touch the heart and to remember how essential music is in our daily lives. They have known each other for well over 20 years. However, it took until 2021 to finally get the project up and running and to professionally record a first song. The first single, "Move," was produced in collaboration with Tom Gatti and released on 5 May 2023. This pop song will put a smile on your face and lift your mood. The debut single was swiftly followed by a second song, "Summer Breezes," accompanied by a video clip. As fate would have it, the EDM duo has been working with producer Christoph Oswald since 2023, creating new songs on a regular basis. ESANCY is a pop-based duo that is now developing its musical style with more melodic house and deep house elements.

Since 2024, they have been performing at festivals and playing live gigs as a band together with drummer Serge Reinhard. Electronic dance music and melodic house are the foundation, but you'll also hear jazz and funk influences, and occasionally an operatic sound. Since september 2024 the inovative bass player Max Serra made the bunch complete

Cynthia Knoch's voice is playful, smooth, creative, punchy, and soft, clear, and sometimes even raspy. The music and lyrics invite people to move not only their bodies but also their minds. They passionately guide the audience to dive and slide. They use sound and electronics to create atmospheres.

The singles MOVE, DIVE, SUMMERBREEZES and DANCE have already been released, and the single SHINE is scheduled for spring 2025. Many more singles are on the way, as is the debut album, which is set for release in 2026.

ESANCY unplugged Acustic

As in autumn, the band found each other complete with Sacha Heck on keys, Cynthia Knoch on vocals, Serge Reinhardt on drums and percussion, and Max Serra on bass. They then made the decision to record an acoustic version of their repertoire, which opens the doors to being more flexible for tuning in for a bigger range of venues, occasions and festivals. The original songs are more EDM and melodic/deep house orientated, so the unplugged version is the perfect opportunity to bring in northern jazz elements with a pop twist.
