Further  more she was a finalist in the international Mozart singing competition in Prague. She was honoured to sing for a radio show marking the festival Ad Honorem Mozart at the Estates Theatre, the very stage where Mozart conducted the world premiere of Don Giovanni in 1787 and, two centuries later, scenes from Milos Forman's film Amadeus were shot. Cynthia Knoch then was perfecting her vocal technique under the supervision of Tom Krause and Hubert Delamboye. She has attended many master classes, given by such famous teachers as Kurt Moll, Nelly Miricioiu, Roberta Alexander, Umberto Finazzi, Susanna Eken, Marcus Gallante, Barbara Schlick and Pia Douwes.

Cynthia Knoch made her stage debut in 2000 in Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. Since then she has appeared as a soloist in many concert shows, solo recitals, musical comedies, operettas, operas, plays such as Hair, Rachel das Musical, Frankenstein, Alice im Wunderland, La femme fatale, La chanson de Fortunio, Hänsel und Gretel, Die Fledermaus, La cavalleria rusticana, Die Zauberflöte, Carmen, L’enfant et les sortillèges, Frida‘s Kabarett, Marlene, die Mauer ist gefallen, der Tor und der Tod, just to name a few. In 2012 she joined André Rieu and his Johann Srauss Orchestra with whoom she was touring 5 years around the world. As a very passionate and curious performer she started as a contrast to that in 2019 developing her skills also in contemporary music and more experimental and expressive art forms. The songs 'Poemes Masques' which composer Albena Petrovic Vratschanska has written for her and her duo partner Joan Martí Frasquier apeared on the CD 'Dreamlover' by the label Solo musica“ which has been nominated for the Opus klassik award.

Since she has a very creative mindset, she lately also concentrated on developing her own musical projects in various styles. The diversity in music and theatre and the endless field of possibilities is what keeps her going and moving forward. Besides performing Cynthia keeps herself busiy as a songwriter. She wrote songs in colaboration with several bands such as her latest Electronic dance music project ESANCY , Beyond God, the Elysian Gates Project, and of course for her chamber orchestra Lola Marie et les Chats Noirs for which she she earned together with Foppe Jacobi a special prize by FLAC Luxembourg  (Fédération Luxembourgeoise des Auteurs et Compositeurs)  at the composer competition Artistes en Herbe a.s.b.l.

Cynthia is still fond of savouring the creative  atmosphere in theatres that she describes as “churches of performing art”. Her artistic spirit and perfectionism, as well as her passion for combining different musical styles and switching between them, is what fulfills her as a performing artist.

VOCAL COACH AND BREATH WORK

As well as performing on stage, Cynthia Knoch coaches young aspiring artists and passionate singers. While she focuses on a healthy way of singing, vocal technique and breath work play a big role. Cynthia helps to find the true and individual sound of a student's voice and repertoire that fits best to a students voice. As coincidence has it, Cynthia was introduced to the different types of breathing, a theory based on a research by Dr Hagena, the so-called Terlusology, expanded for singers by Brigitta Seidler Winkler, who coached Cynthia Knoch during the early years of her career.

During her studies, she was selected for a masterclass with the famous bass baritone Tom Krause at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Feeling that it was a perfect match for both sides, she continued to follow his teachings until his death 5 years later. With his point of view of teaching to open the gates to reach your highest potential in order to reach a dimension never before known.

Always fascinated by mind over matter, epigenetics, quantum physics, meditation and science at the edge of spirituality, Cynthia dedicated her Master's thesis to analysing and demonstrating the importance of working with intention. Often people are told that not being able to deal with stage fright or not getting the message across when singing is a lack of talent, Cynthia has discovered through her career on stage and as a vocal coach that it is more a lack of knowledge on the part of the teacher who does not know how to deal with difficulties on a student's subconscious or mental level that need to be looked at and perhaps reprogrammed.

On a spiritual level, emotions often appear in the throat area/chakra. Even the needs of a baby are expressed through vocal sounds. As we learn to chew and fit into society, we often swallow thoughts about how to behave. Sensitive people often have to deal with a knot in their soul later, and while singing brings insight, one is frightened because the inner child wants to behave and be quiet, while the adult wants to speak up and be heard.

Learning how to work with energy in motion, called E-MOTION, and putting aside the autopilot that often takes control. Harnessing the power of the now and learning to focus on the moment itself is essential to changing habits. As we know that the neurotransmitters in our brain that wire together also fire together, strengthening the synapses that are growing, Cynthia coaches students to use this method to develop the singer's personality to grow stronger.
